What if I am in my final stages of a terminal illness? What if further medical intervention would be medically futile and a decision has to be made for the withdrawal of such futile medical intervention? If I am still conscious, I can make the decision but what if I am so ill that I am unable to express my wish to die naturally? I also do not wish to place a heavy burden on my loved ones to make the difficult decision. Is there such a legal document to express my wish in writing if I am in that situation?
