I know that if I am not a citizen of Singapore or if my company is not a Singapore company, I am considered a "foreign person" under the Residential Property Act (Chapter 274).  If I am a "foreign person" and I want to buy a Residential Apartment unit in a residential building of less than 6 levels in a non-condominium development, do I need to get prior approval under the Residential Property Act?

Can a "foreign person" buy any dwelling (residential) unit in a Condominium Development as classified by the Urban Redevelopment Authority? Is any approval required under the Residential Property Act?
